One finds there a complex thermal recently renovated and a factory of mineral water bottling of a great modernity.

        Water of Carvalhelhos has been known and used for more than one hundred years for the cures of skin diseases, digestive or circulatory system, kidneys and allergies, thanks to their mineral elements, bicarbonate, sodium, fluorine and silica.

The spa

The spa park is a place of real freshness and peace, equipped with baths, cared by specialized clinical teams, with a inn and leafy gardens. The mineral water is distributed there at any hour during the thermal season in a refreshment bar with a thatched roof (on left).

A few hundred meters from the hydropathic establishment, there is the factory of mineral water bottling of Carvalhelhos.
Using recycled glass, or lost plastic, the mineral water is bottled in varied volumes of 25 cl to 1,5 liters.
It is sold locally, mostly in Portugal.

Thanks to a constant flow of the source which guarantees 10000 liters per day, the factory provides the local market, and the domestic market of Portugal. A small part of mineral water of Carvalhelhos is exported, mainly towards Brazil.

 

       The factory of Carvalhelhos is adherent to an international quality chart for mineral water.
Thanks to controls carried out on the spot in a very modern laboratory, and while following strict rules of hygiene throughout the manufacturing process, the factory guarantees a water which is free of any harmful effect (pesticide, bacterium, heavy metal...).
